Family day out at USS

We were at USS on dec 6 for a family day. The weather is nice but hot... The kids enjoyed themselves. My hubby also enjoyed the transformer ride although the weather is super hot. We started out day at 10am
And end at around 6.30pm. After that the kiddos slept early at 8pm.

School holidays shows! Barney, Dora and High 5

Been hopping around shopping malls just to catch a glimpse of Barney, Dora and high 5. Both gals love and enjoy the free show. For Barney it's a long wait, almost 2 hrs to get the photo pass and be the first few in the queue. For Dora the queue is not too bad. High 5 also queue for almost 2 hrs.

Someone will be thinking its crazy for parents to queue for the kids. I do agree to certain extend but when u see your kids enjoying and singing away with the character u will think the wait is worthwhile!

For me, I think it's very worthwhile as I am
Very proud of my small gal, Cheryl. She is so brave to take photos with all the character that she loves and she even gave them a high 5!

Haikou trip 2011

We made a trip back to Haikou, China from 26/8 till 31/8.
The trip is fun but super duper hot. When you want to have some breeze air upon entering the shopping mall in haikou, you will be shocked. The sales staff are seen fanning themselves. There is no aircon even in a shoppi mall. My goodness

However, both Chloe and Cheryl enjoy themselves tremendously. We also visited some relatives. We were overwhelmed by their hospitality. They cook us a whole table full of authentic Hainanese dish.

The best part is that we visited my dad ancestor hometown. This is the first time my parents went back together with their children and grandchildren. It is also the first time my dad light up a traditional firecrackers

Both gals behave themselves throughout the trip. All the aunties praised them for being well behaved. Brought the baby carrier and stroller but under utilized. Cheryl prefer to walk instead of being carried. Although we have to change hotel everyday, the two Cs are cooperating well with us. They did not throw tantrum even though we have to wake up early at 8am. The best part is that when Cheryl is on the bus, she will ask for my iPad to watch her Barney show. After a while she will fall asleep on her own.

We went to the monkey island. Look at how clever the monkeys are... They even have a pool specially for them to relax. Took a photo together with Chloe with the monkeys.

This is the hotel at Sanya. It's a two storey hotel. Level one is the living area with toilet while the loft is the sleeping area. The kids enjoyed limbing up and down.

Celebrating godma's birthday

It's an annual celebration for godma. This year we decided to make a cake for godma followed by dinner.. We sang the birthday song at our house. Look at the messy cake Chloe made for godma

Weekday evening at ikea

Wanted to buy a bunk bed for the gals. Decided to bring them to ikea to take a look. We were surprised at the big crowd of people at the restaurant. After dinner, we went straight to the children department. Both gals were playing happily with the toys from ikea.
After which, proceeded to the bedding section, where Chloe and Cheryl start trying on the different beds.

Chloe's nursery family day

It's a sunny Saturday morning. Everyone went over to BBTS for Chloe family day. Even daddy wakes up early to join us.
The school showcases the student artwork. However Chloe artwork is not on display. We bought back her artwork and donate to the charity.
It's a small scale family day. With three different simple games and a simple meal. Chloe enjoyed herself. Many of her classmates didn't turn up if not she will enjoy much more.

Using recycled materials to make something. When I received the recycled package, I am clueless on what to make.. Chloe was fast in responding, make a caterpillar.. This is the finished product.

Fun & enriching tour

It's the school holidays and there are group formed to go to the goat farm and crocodile farm. We left early for the trip. The first stop is goat farm where we learn how they milk the goat. Very enriching as we learn that the female goat can produce milk for 7 months after giving birth.
The last stop is crocodile farm where the kids get to see the feeding session of crocodile and the finished product of their skin.
Both farms gave us souvenir to bring back. We also pack some goat milk back to drink.
Overall it's an enriching tour for Chloe.

At NEX outdoor playground

Initially supposed to bring the kids to sentosa. But need to go view car last minute so didn't go but decided to bring them to NEX to play to compensate!
It's worth the sacrifice as we bought the car we wanted! A used 1.6A Citroen C4 Coupe.

Annual bring your kids to work

It's the first time I am bring the kiddos to my work place. This is the forth run of the annual Bring Your Kids to work. I must applause the management for running this programme. It creates a great bonding session with the kids with all the activities lined up. Also chloe ha been urging me to bring her to work. Finally she has a chance of seeing her mummy's workplace.
Chloe blended well with Jocelyn two sons. She had an enjoyable day. Cheryl also make new friends that day.
The 2nd half of the programme is a visit to the central fire station. Chloe was tired out and we didn't finish the whole tour. But we managed to get some history of the fire engine and took some nice photos in front of the fire engines.. Thanks to Jocelyn
camera as I am totally tired from taking care if the two gals the whole day. No mood to take photos while at the fire station.

Both the gals enjoyed themselves as much as mummy. Looking forward to the next year event again.

It's the mid year review! Chloe got back her progress card. Majority of the area she scored Bs. Not too bad! Considering her English language command is not too good when she first started out. I can see great improvement in her English language! She can speak proper sentence! She also learn many new songs along the way! Best of all, she enjoy school.
